At that time Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. And His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. Matthew 12:1
God is saying something, something big and powerful, and yet so simple. The world does not have access to everything they desire. They go under rules and regulations falling under certain laws. But we, as children of Christ, can have access to anything that we want at anytime. Nothing is impossible for us. We are not subject to date or time. The only thing we are subject is the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing can hold us back! It doesn’t matter where you went to school, if you own a business or are unemployed, or if you think that you’re not pretty or attractive. None of that makes a difference when it comes to Jesus. You are free to eat what you need to eat. The Pharisees couldn’t eat on the Sabbath, which makes sense absolutely because the world can’t do certain things. Fourtunatley, we have access to whatever we want. When you are a child of God, purchased with the blood of Christ, nothing can come against you. You can go into any Sabbath field on any Sabbath day, and eat any fruit you want and sustain yourself and your family, especially in your time of need. We have our provision, and nothing is lacking. Whatever it is that we need we can go pluck and eat, to our liking; that’s the life of a true Christian.
