Who Is Jesus?
Jesus is...
Grace
Have you ever received a gift that you don't deserve? Or been running late and you catch every green light? Or your medical diagnosis disappeared? Or something happens that you just can't explain? That's Jesus! He is always hearing, always seeing, and always giving. But He can be so much more than a simple coincidence if we let Him.
Human
Jesus is the son of God who came to earth to live just like you and me, as a human. Though His walk was perfect, He experienced life just like we do in order to set us free and allow us to have eternal life. During His time as human, He dealt with heartbreak, shame, rejection, loneliness, fear, stress, abandonment and more. He experienced what we do, making Him relatable and understanding of our pain.
God
Through His death on the cross, He bridged the gap between God and us, changing the course of history and the universe as we know it. He sent His Holy Spirit to walk with us, live with us and be with us every day. He is The Almighty, The Wonder, The One whom words cannot describe. All He wants is to be our best friend and see us happy!
but Why Jesus?
“
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”
Jesus
Thought of you during His journey to the cross, where He was crucified for our sins, our mistakes, our shortcomings. In Luke 5:32 Jesus says, "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance." Jesus is for everyone, every race, every upbringing, every background. He does not see us in our natural state, but in our supernatural form as children of God. The blood He shed while on the cross has freedom for every area of our life. Freedom from pain, freedom from sickness, freedom from stress, freedom from abuse, freedom from our past can be found in applying the supernatural blood of Jesus to our lives and the lives of our loved ones.
